CREPUSCULAR DIARIES part 1: lullabies from the lingering light (work-in-progress)
A conversation with twilight. An obsession with it. Its colours, shapes, its repetition. lullabies from the lingering light is a looped video installation that combines diaristic images with staged scenes, both taking place during dusk. The sun has set and the light is disappearing, three dimensional objects turn into flattened silhouettes. As a collection of fleeting moments, gathered over the span of many twilights, we see the day ending, the body continuing, time slipping through our fingers. Supported with a soundtrack made of whispers and compositions of everyday sounds, we embark on the journey of the fading light.
Graduation work for the MA Lens-Based Media at Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Shown as part of ‘Squaring the Circle’ at V2_ and WORM UBIK, July ’25. An adapted version was screened at Noranje as part of Groot Rotterdams Atelier Weekend 20-21 Sept ’25. Alongside this project, I made a little booklet.
